This is Sams Creek. It runs through my property for about one
mile. It was named after an early settler that came through in the
early 1800's. It has a lot of good swimming holes along the route.
It empties into the Cumberland River about one mile from where
this painting was made. This particular part was always a good
watering hole for our cows, as they would stand for hours staying
cool in the summer months.
